Nobody believed Moishe the Beadle because they didn't want to believe that it would happen to them. He was an older man so they might of thought that he was making it up. There was also so many different things going on with the war so they didn't believe that the worst thing possible could happen to them. They didn't believe that a human could be that cruel to another human. They probably thought that they were more important than the other people that already got deported because they were foreigners, therefore they thought that the Nazis just wanted to go after the lower class people. Why would they want to believe a person who is living on the streets? They probably thought he was trying to get people to believe his story, but why would they want to? It was only one person that came back and told the story, it might have been more believable if there was a group of people coming back to tell them what was going on, but there was only one person. Moishe told Elie that he came back to warn him and to tell him what was happening and the people would just ignore him because they didn't want to believe that they would be the one chosen to go. He was trying to save the people by telling them what happened to him personally but then again no one would believe a word he said. The Nazis kept the concentration camp a big secret and somehow nobody knew about them. He was the only one that ever came back to say something about it because the Nazis were pretty good at being able to keep people from escaping. They were so good at keeping it a secret that nobody knew what was going on. They probably couldn't believe that somebody would do that to a baby throw them up in the air and use them for target practice that is like the worst thing imaginable. They wouldn't believe that somebody could do that to an infant. If people were to believe him they would have been more prepared. They might have been able to get together and stand up for themselves and if they could have got together in a group when they found out about it. They might of been able to revolt against them and get weapons and things like that so they could of fought back. He came back to warn the people because it was true all these things were happening and they just didn't want to believe him. If they would've believed him the people could've picked up and left and tried to get out.

I don't mean to pick out tiny little things, but watch out for grammar. For example, in the sentences where you said "might of", it should be might have.
I agree. I would not believe anyone if they said that they would have believed Moishe. It's almost impossibe to believe such acts.
While I agree with your post, I think that the Jews would not have fought against the Germans. They had been so victimized for so long that they felt no self worth. Also they wanted to keep their families alive as long as possible. If your outbursts against an army would kill your family would you do it? Being a doormat to death is a hard thing to comprehend. The Jews did not think Moishe was lying, they IGNORED him. There is a difference. They were so shaken by him; he got inside their heads. If he was lying they probably would have just looked past him without a second thought.
I do agree that if there were more people coming back with Moishe to tell the stories, the people in the town would have listened and changed the outcome. Yet since he was practically homeless and no one really noticed him, no one believed him. If I were the people i wouldn't have believed him either.
I agree and disagree with your blog. They had heard rumors about the Germans doing terrible things but they did not think that the Germans would really come. I think they kinda believed Moishe the Beadle was telling the truth but did not want to believe hear of it, so they blocked it out. But it was Very Good
Yes, the comment stating that what could possibly happen to them. That was there first mistake. They should have listened some what to him.
Good point on them not believing a man who lived on the street. It would be hard to listen to that from a homeless person. The story about the infant, even though it was true, was so far-fetched the people just wouldn't believe it.
Agreed...it would be hard to belive him.
This blog was very long and in many places you got very repetitive. But you had a lot of very good information that the other groups did not necessarily have. But I do agree with a lot of the information that you had.
This really went into a lot of details about why they did not believe Moishe. But it seemed to repeat the information. I like they ending where they said that the Jews could have revolted against the Germans. I thought that it was different than what everyone else is saying.
I agree with your statement that if the Jews had been more prepared, they might have believed them. Even if they had believed Moishe, then what? They could have tried to revolt, but even then the Germans would probably end up taking control anyway. I do not agree with what was said about the Jews feeling like they were more important than the foreign Jews who were deported earlier, and therefore that would not happen to them. Every person who was not a foreign Jew mourned when the foreign Jews were taken. It affected the whole town.
I dont agree that if they would of believed Moishe they would of stood up and fought for them self. If they would have fought them it would have ended so much worse.
I agree with you on except for the revolting part. If they would have gotten together and revolted I believe it would have been worse instead of better. The Germans were bigger and stronger than them so they would have taken them down easily and insured that ever one of them was killed. But other than that it's a good post.
